Finally, word from Matt. I was starting to think about taking over the blog and changing its purpose to the extensive review of terrible 80s movies. I had a dissertation on the social repercussions of Adventures in Babysitting all planned out.

And there's nothing like hideous entertainment to make bad entertainment look good. I could get used to almost anything if the alternative was Uzbek rock videos - not that I'm an expert, but Matt's description didn't leave much room for hope. Reminds me of summer 2002, when I was staying at Trinity and for some reason I could only get MSNBC, TV Land, and this channel with an endless mind-atrophying parade of law enforcement drivel - "Dark Heart, Iron Hand", I think the series was called. I was a fan after a week.

I think J. Lo might even have been somewhere in there too. They did an episode on a murderous Louisiana vampire cult, and if she wasn't actually an actor, there was someone in there who looked a heck of a lot like her.

Brilliant!

The sad thing is that at one point I began looking forward to Katts and Dog. Now that should tell you something about the quality of the rest of the television here... Anyway, kudos to CRBS and his through investigation - I hope that WD readers have been elightened.

No time for a real entry here or to reply to emails, but I'm still alive down here. Maybe next weekend I'll come into this intenet cafe for a few hours and just type, but for now I've got to get back home before the sun sets... or else!
