A beautiful response to the much maligned (by me at least) “Proud to be an American,” Norman Lear’s brainchild, “Born Again American,” is a fitting tribute to the renewed spirit of citizenship that has swept our country:

Yes it is beautiful. Gene Robinson to give the invocation today to start the inauguration 2:30p Eastern. It’s a mega lovefest…Woodstock on steroids. I hope it lasts.

I waited for two hours to watch Gene Robinsons’s invocation and was shocked to find it was not on the broadcast. Why was it not included in the HBO coverage. I guess I picked the wrong inauguration coverage. This is an outrage.
